The manga on which the series is based was first published in Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Comic Ryu magazine. It had a commendable run spanning twelve years from 2010 to 2022. The series, known for its heartening comedy genre, narrates the story of picture book writer Hotaru Yuuyami. Following the death of his beloved family pet, Hanako, the protagonist encounters unusual phenomena with a peculiar mushroom entity that grows in his garden. As for the release date, it's yet to be determined. However, anime enthusiasts can expect its launch by the end of 2024.
