New Gundam Series to Feature Scripts Co-Written by Renowned Animator Hideaki Anno

In recent Gundam news, fans have something to look forward to. A forthcoming series titled Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX presents an intriguing prospect for enthusiasts of the genre as it boasts scripts co-authored by none other than Hideaki Anno, the creative mind behind Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Furthermore, Yoji Enokido, celebrated for his work on Bungo Stray Dogs, will supervise and co-write the scripts. The animation will be brought to life at Anno's studio, Khara, in collaborative efforts with Sunrise. The series is steered under the direction of Kazuya Tsurumaki, reputed for directing FLCL, one of the most iconic anime of all time.

The Concept and Creatives Behind Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, colloquially referred to as "gee quacks", narrates the tale of a high school student named Amate. Situated in a space colony, Amate finds himself in the thick of an unlawful mobile suit sport titled Clan Battle.

The characters are skillfully brought to life through the vocal arts of Tomoyo Kurosawa, who voices Amate Yuzuriha, Yui Ishikawa as Nyaan, and Shimba Tsuchiya who gives voice to Shūji Itō.

Contributions to the series' aesthetics come from 'Take,' a conceptual character artist renowned for his work on Pokemon. He has exclusively worked on the character designs for this series, while Ikuto Yamashita, famed for his work on Evangelion, has crafted the intricate mechanical designs.

Anticipated Release and Further Information

A re-edited edition of the first few episodes is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on January 17. The broadcasting schedule for the series itself is yet to be released.

The storyline orbits around Amate Yuzuriha, an ordinarily peaceful high schooler residing in a space colony suspended in outer space. Things take a turn when she encounters Nyaan, a war refugee. Subsequently, Amate becomes part of the prohibited mobile suit duel sport known as Clan Battle. Under the pseudonym "Machu," she engages in a formidable battle day after day, steering the GQuuuuuuX. Her adventures deepen with the appearance of a unique Gundam mobile suit and its pilot, a young boy named Shuji, both pursued by the space force and the police.
