Lions-Chiefs opener averages 27 million viewers

TL;DR: The Lions-Chiefs opener drew an average of 27 million viewers, a 24% increase from last year. This was the second largest audience for a season-opening game since 2015. The game also had the second largest streaming audience for NBC. The upcoming Cowboys-Giants and Bills-Jets games are expected to have big audiences as well.
