Unveiling 'Rick and Morty: The Anime'
'Rick and Morty: The Anime' is set to premiere on Adult Swim on the 15th of August, with an English version airing at midnight. This addictive anime series ensures viewers with an instantaneous availability of the new episodes on Max the following day. Anime fans will also have the chance to enjoy a Japanese dubbed version with English subtitles, set to be released on the 17th of August on Adult Swim, at the same midnight slot.
Noteworthy Cast and Crew
The English and Japanese versions of the show boast a diverse and compelling cast. English voice artists include Joe Daniels voicing Rick and Jerry, Gabriel Regojo taking on Morty, Summer brought to life by Donna Bella Litton, and Patricia Duran giving vocal talents to Beth. The Japanese rendition has Youhei Tadano doing the voices of Rick, Keisuke Chiba as Morty, Akiha Matsui as Summer, Manabu Muraji as Jerry, and Takako Fuji supplying the voice of Beth. Interestingly, a number of these Japanese actors are reprising their previous roles from the original Japanese dub of the Rick and Morty cartoon series. The English counterparts, however, are unique to this Anime version.
Leading the helm of the series is Takashi Sano of 'Tower of God' fame, acting as writer and director. The anime owes its executive production to Jason Demarco and Joseph Chou. Michael Ouweleen, the current president of Adult Swim, has praised Sano for being not just an exceptional director, but a significant 'Rick and Morty' fan, making him the best fit for this distinct version of the popular show.
A Glimpse Into 'Rick and Morty: The Anime'
Adult Swim has shared a brief about the much-awaited series. 'Rick and Morty: The Anime' promises to captivate its fans with a ten-episode series that carries the audience into a scenario where Rick is found unwinding in a pseudo-world nestled between the multiverses. Summer is shown assisting Space Beth in their bout against the nefarious Galactic Federation, while Morty is seen developing affection for an enigmatic girl who, in fact, is an atemporal being. As expected, the unfolding adventure seems to be an exciting new addition to the 'Rick and Morty' universe.
