I've had plenty of bites from dogs and cats. Had bites from various birds and other small animals. Never got to the point of it being a major issue.

It is split here, as I will get items as needed, if it is a last minute item.

Is YouTube Killing Small Creators?
Joshua Farrell replied to Uncrowned Guard's topic in Serious Debates
Looking how things are going for those I know that report earnings on youtube, it takes quite the bit of active uploading with videos properly edited in youtube to get the views needed for even 100 per month. Figuring if I were to do something like that, I would want to make sure that I have a pretty good active subscriber base to even consider taking the offer to run ads on videos, without running sponsor segments. -
I believe in a higher being. Though prefer to not discuss it, as not many people are understanding outside of my local community, and would take any chance to attack my religion or heritage.

Do you have a man/woman cave?
Joshua Farrell replied to ZandraJoi's topic in Nature & Outdoors's Nature & Outdoors Discussion
I have a pretty large room where I tend to be able to spend hours of the day to go undisturbed most of the time. This room has my computer, a cage with a couple of small birds, and a few other things that helps me unwind and enjoy some private time when I need it. -
Walking or hiking
Joshua Farrell replied to 22_22's topic in Nature & Outdoors's Nature & Outdoors Discussion
I normally don't do much hiking, as I have been working on doing stuff with family and improving my current living situation. The times I do go hiking, it is pretty enjoyable. I generally love getting out into nature and enjoying being able to unwind properly because of it. Though I do tend to do more regular walking, as I have health issues that I need to keep general movement to keep up with my health. -
In my life, I'd probably be more willing to help local organizations out, in order to get the chance to participate in things I wish I could on a regular basis. With online work, I would probably be more willing to negotiate for stuff that most people wouldn't normally use anyways.

Depends on how it is formatted, and if it is a book or on the computer. I have some bias against reading a big block of text in books that the font size should be bigger, yet the publishing company printed it smaller, to fit more words per page.

Looked up the law to freshen my memory. It states "reasonable measures to obtain identity", and mentions that ID must be provided. And that after age verification has been verified, the law then states that they company should then grant access based on the ID provided, and then remove all information used to obtain verification of said age.

I know the State of Utah has something similar that was implemented this past year. They now require companies that have a userbase in the state, to verify age, so that certain content doesn't get shown to anyone under 18.

Admittedly, part of the reason why I join certain websites, is to learn things from those places that I would have otherwise been ignorant about. Same thing with reading. If I don't find something interesting to read, I miss out on an opportunity to learn.

Normally? No. But I do make the attempt to plan out certain events if I know I need to plan them out. I probably would have attempted to plan out my life if I was 10 years younger.

Nope. But then again, having solid end dates on job contracts help avoid confrontation. Haven't done anything to get myself fired from the jobs I have done in the past.

Been awhile since I was surprised by both someone popping up on me and me not knowing they were there, and a random surprise from someone as a gift. My family aren't exactly able to spend the money to fund random surprises, so I rarely get the type of surprise that would be labeled as a nice surprise.

Friends with different political views
Joshua Farrell replied to Nebulous's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I view friendship along political lines, as pretty much this: If you want to talk about it all the time, without asking if I want to talk about it before the conversation starts, we might not be the best of friends in a couple years, if that is the only thing that is talked about. I prefer to develop friendship with people that know to not continually talk about politics. I get enough of it from my family, don't want to have to deal with it from everyone. 😄 -
Temperatures finally got up in the 60's here, the last couple of weeks. Hoping that it lasts and doesn't get into the 90's and 100's before July.

What's Happening Around Uncrowned Empire - May 2023
Joshua Farrell replied to Legion Bulletin's topic in Empire News
Nice updates. Took advantage of the account sync, and realized I forgot to adjust my avatar location on the main site. Time to update it I guess. 😄
