  1. I think both are capable of high intelligence and amazing amounts of ignorance.

That being said, I think men and women have a different kinds of intelligence as per majority patterns. Women tend to be more emotionally and creatively intelligent whereas men tend to be better problem solvers and inventors. Whether we like it or not, female humans are hardwired to be gatherers and male humans are hardwired to be hunters. Everything comes from the basis of that. Not in ALL cases, but in most. This is why men tend to be better leaders and women tend to be better team builders and followers. Both are equally important.

  2. I don't like this. I think it is find to vote with your dollar and spend your time elsewhere if there is something you do not like... But going after people for things they have said or done in the past is just ridiculous. I don't know when this started or why, but I am sick of it. It just has enabled a small group of people to virtually shut a person's life down. It isn't right.

  3. Currently have a home media server that doubles as a Nextcloud server, DNS, video encoding, and just a bunch of other apps. Been working on setting it up since the beginning of the year and do it bit by bit. I plan to eventually integrate home security as well.  Does anyone else here do a mixed home media server that does a bunch of things for you?

  4. We have a decent amount of wildlife around here. I would like more of it though. I started putting out hummingbird feeders this last summer and it has been a treat to watch them. My cat absolutely loves to sit in the window and watch them buzz and zip around. I would like to get more animals coming closer to my home, especially to keep insect populations in check. What are some easy (and cheap) ways to encourage this?

  5. I only just now realized there was an introduction area. Oops! haha

Anyways, I am new here. Been looking to join a new forum that focuses mostly just on community and talking about current things. The last forum I was a member on for many years shut down. I have not been able to find a replacement yet. This one looks and feels promising though! I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to e-meeting new people :D

  6. I want to try and grow some vegetables indoors. I am not sure where to begin with this having never done it. I know I will need a shelf and some grow lights. They can be fairly cheap on Amazon but I want to make sure whatever set up I do go with, it is good enough to produce food. Anyone here do indoor gardening?

  7. I used to sleep 8 to 9 hours straight. My sleep slowly started getting messed up. Now I am lucky to get 4 hours straight before waking up. I am able to fall back asleep most nights but I average around 6 hours of broken sleep. I would like to get to a point where I am sleeping 7 hours straight again. I would be happy with that!

  8. Who here uses Linux? I made the switch away from Windows in 2016 and have not looked back. I feel more comfortable and better secured on Linux vs Windows there they basically allow back-doors to everything on your PC. No thanks! I am currently using KDE Plasma. This is a recent change for me. I never used it before but have been enjoying it. Previous to this I was using Cinnamon and while I switched around a few times I always went back to it.

    Any other Linux users here?

  9. SmartLess was the last one I listened to. I listen to it on and off depending on the guest they have on. I used to listen to Joe Rogan's show but got bored with it. I have never been fully invested in podcasts so I come and go from them. I would rather watch videos than listen to people talking I guess.

  10. I haven't followed them in years. I was not even aware they broke up or were still making music. I think their old music was great but as far as I know, nothing in recent years has been worth listening to. At least, not to me. I am very picky with music now. The older I get, the less I enjoy and listen to.

  11. I saw a review of the first episode and decided it wasn't for me. They cannot recapture the magic and fun of That 70's show. The cast was better and honestly, if I want to go back any enjoy the '90s again, I will just watch things made at the time. A good example is Rosanne. I loved that show growing up.

  12. Nope. There is nothing on there that interests me. I don't have any kids either. Not into their newer shows or movies. A few people in my family do have subscriptions with them though and seem to enjoy it. I currently only have Amazon Prime. I did have Hulu for a bit. All these subscription services keep hiking their prices and I am not a fan of that at all.

  13. I haven not watched the series or following Pokemon in many years. I will play Pokemon Showdown and have gotten a few of the newer games, the last being Pokemon Sun... But the show isn't really something I am interested in at all. Do I think it is a mistake to move away from Pikachu and Ash? Yes... It probably is. They should keep them included in some way, shape, or form.

  14. YouTube was built off the backs of small content creators who worked their butts off the gain a following. Now YouTube would rather work with mainstream media and larger corporations to avoid issues with another ad-pocalypse. They also suppress channels that aren't earning them anything making it next to impossible to grow on there now. A lot of people have moved to Rumble for this reason but Rumble has its issues too.

  15. Tinder is a hook-up app and nothing more. Sure, people have found their spouses on there but it is a drop in the bucket. The site is mostly promoting hook-up culture and paying for better access to something won't fix the problem. This is like Only Fans trying to move away from sex workers. It isn't going to happen at this point. They can try to paint themselves in a different light all they want.

  16. X isn't going to have a paid-only model. You just will have to pay for premium access and features. This is the only way to avoid censorship and I do support it. They need to be able to pay to keep the site running and the lights on and without ad revenue and taking the company private, money needs to come from somewhere. I have considered paying monthly for the service but I won't until there is a way to either do it with crypto or without tracking. I don't want my personal identity linked to my account.

  17. I tend to be busy more days so boredom doesn't come easy but when it strikes, I usually just play a game or draw on my tablet. If I am not in the mood for either, I will clean or do things around the house. There is always something that needs being done inside or out. I sometimes will just take my dog for a walk if I can't be bothered with anything so at least I am physically doing something. I walk him every day in the morning but he sometimes gets bonus walks when I am bored lol

  18. Confidence and critical thinking. Nothing is less attractive then a person who is always putting themselves down and lacking any sense of confidence anywhere in their life. Critical thinking is a must. Not only is it attractive it shows me that if things got bad in the real world, I would have someone by my side capable to planning and surviving.
