FanimeCon 2026 is a fan-run anime convention celebrating anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, music, art, and Japanese pop culture. The 2026 event is scheduled for May 22–25, 2026, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.
Known for its “By Fans, For Fans” spirit, FanimeCon features panels, guest appearances, cosplay events, gaming, artist spaces, dealer exhibits, fan gatherings, video programming, and community-led events. Panel programming for 2026 is hosted at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center’s lower level.
The convention also includes a strong gaming presence, with eGaming and arcade events highlighted as part of the 2026 experience.
By combining a large convention setting with a fan-first culture, FanimeCon remains one of Northern California’s major anime and fandom gatherings, offering attendees a broad weekend of cosplay, creativity, gaming, and Japanese pop-culture celebration.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed on the last Monday in May to honor and remember members of the U.S. Armed Forces who died in military service.
