SIGGRAPH 2026 is the 53rd annual conference and exhibition dedicated to computer graphics, animation, visual effects, interactive technology, gaming, simulation, AI, robotics, and immersive experiences. Anime Matsuri 2026 returns to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston from July 23–26, 2026, marking the convention’s 20th-anniversary celebration. The four-day event brings together anime fans, cosplayers, artists, performers, creators, vendors, and Japanese pop-culture enthusiasts for one of the largest fandom conventions held in Texas.
The convention spans three floors of the George R. Brown Convention Center and features a broad mix of programming centered on anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, fashion, music, art, and Japanese culture. Attendees can expect guest appearances, panels, workshops, live performances, competitions, screenings, interactive activities, and community events throughout the weekend.
Anime Matsuri also includes a large exhibit hall where vendors, publishers, retailers, artists, and independent creators offer collectibles, apparel, artwork, accessories, figures, and other fandom merchandise. The 2026 exhibit hall opens with a preview period on Thursday before continuing through the main convention weekend.
Cosplay is a central part of the Anime Matsuri experience, with contests, showcases, themed gatherings, photo opportunities, and appearances from established cosplay creators. The convention’s wider programming traditionally combines Japanese entertainment with gaming, automotive culture, fashion presentations, concerts, and late-night activities.
