Sakura-Con

Sakura-Con is one of the largest and longest-running anime conventions in the Pacific Northwest, celebrating anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, music, and Japanese culture. Held annually in Seattle, Washington, Sakura-Con draws tens of thousands of attendees for a multi-day celebration of fandom, creativity, and community.

The convention offers an extensive lineup of programming, including industry and fan panels, voice actor and creator guests, cosplay contests, concerts, anime screenings, and cultural presentations. A massive artist alley and vendor hall feature independent artists, fan creators, and major retailers showcasing original art, merchandise, apparel, figures, and collectibles.

Sakura-Con is especially known for its large-scale cosplay presence, with elaborate masquerades, themed meetups, and expansive photo shoots that take advantage of the convention’s downtown Seattle setting. The event also emphasizes Japanese culture and community engagement, often featuring traditional arts, music, and educational programming alongside modern pop culture.

Blending large-convention scale with a fan-focused, volunteer-driven spirit, Sakura-Con has become a cornerstone event for anime fans in the Northwest—offering an immersive and welcoming space to celebrate Japanese pop culture and creative expression year after year.
