gamescom 2026 returns to Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, from August 26–30, 2026, bringing together the international gaming industry and hundreds of thousands of fans for one of the world’s largest video game events. The festivities begin on August 25 with gamescom Opening Night Live, a globally streamed showcase featuring new game announcements, trailers, gameplay reveals, special guests, and previews of the week ahead.

The event connects players with game developers, publishers, hardware manufacturers, content creators, esports organizations, and technology companies from around the world. Its enormous exhibition areas give attendees opportunities to play upcoming games, explore new gaming hardware, meet developers, attend live presentations, and experience interactive exhibits from major publishers and independent studios.
