Fast Food - Down in Taste?

Recommended Posts

A lot of it is not impressing me.   It just doesn't have any flavor and it wasn't always like this.  Anyway, it's not the fault of the workers. Perhaps it is the managers not telling them to put more seasoning or maybe the food, itself, before being cooked is simply not as good as it was.  Well, one example is maybe using a different type of cooking oil,

A lot of fast food is processed so it can be made & shipped long distances. Some chains prefer to keep the recipe universal so if you go to one, you'll have the same taste at others.

They may be cutting down on flavors & spices to cut costs. People will still buy it up due to the convenience.

Over the years, most fast food has decreased in taste to me. I don't really know if that is because of them or because of myself.  I used to love pretty much everything on the menu, but today it is pretty much McDonald's fries, Wendy's burgers, and nothing from Burger King.

The prices are also not helping.  It isn't too hard to get $10+ in food just for myself with fast food anymore and once I hit $20-30 for two, the idea of just going to a dinner starts to look better and better.

That's gotta be what's wrong.

I have to admit, I haven't really noticed it - because I don't eat enough of it!

I do think it's tasted a bit worse the last couple of times I've had it, but that could just be me: my tastes might have matured, or I might be misremembering how good it was in the first place 😛 .

At one time, the beef patties on a Wendy's burger were a treat in itself.   Now they are horrible and only the vegetables save the sandwich, but this could just be the situation of not all restaurants.
