what do you prefer?

I definitely prefer owning a laptop over a desktop. I like being able to work on the fly, and sometimes I need a laptop instead of my phone to get things done.

It seems like memory upgrades would be easier on a desktop.  Otherwise, I suppose there's no reason for me to prefer one or the other.

I have a desktop & my husband has the laptop. Both are Dell brands as we have had good luck with those. The laptop is also great when we go away. While we don't do vacations like we used to, we do visit my parents an hour away & have spent the night there. I prefer the desktop personally.

What about laptops plugged into a monitor/keyboard?

I love how every time this question gets asked, everyone ignores this as an option.

In this age and time, I will always go with the laptop. I mean there are numerous advantages of doing so instead of sticking to a desktop.
