Katy1966
I have a really old camcorder from when my daughter was a baby and I think it was Hi 8? I'm probably wrong. I'd love to get the videos put onto newer technology but don't know who to trust. Is there a reliable company that won't lose or damage my cassettes? Grungie
There’s converters you can buy to do it yourself.
ZandraJoi
I am curious about this as well. I know of places that offer this but I honestly cannot say which is good or not. @GrungieWhere do you get these converters?

Just look up camcorder to digital converters and there's an entire industry dedicated to it. 1
Uncrowned Guard
Yes, those converters are used quite a bit today as people often take old VHF movies and make them digital. The quality is surprisingly good. However, I have not used one to recommend any brand.
