Katy1966
I have been reading that Facebook is more for the older people and the younger generations stay away. Do you find that to be true? I'm mostly on Facebook to catch up with family and friends and see their children grow up. Otherwise, it's mostly a place where people share memes it seems like...or to look down on others for their opinions on how things should be done.

Most of my time on Facebook is spent talking to older friends or family anymore.
Nomad
Contrarily to the popularly held belief that the most active demography on facebook is 45-55 years of age, it has been discovered, younger people consist of large active user groups on facebook., With the popularity of Reels, I see more young people joining the platform.
Kyng
I suspect there is some truth to this... my guess is that most young people now have parents who are on it, and therefore, they consider it "uncool". I believe the younger generation mostly hangs out on Snapchat or Instagram and the like (although, fortunately for Meta - the company that owns Facebook - they also own Instagram 😛 )
ZandraJoi
I think it's more of a preference than an age thing. Maybe the older generation prefers it due to the ease of use versus other Social Media Platforms. I don't do any Social Media nowadays. I prefer simple email lol However, I do know of many who like the One-stop shopping of Facebook. They can keep in contact with all members of their family in one area.
Shortie
I still have a Facebook account myself but I only use it now to keep in touch with some friends and family and it is very rare I go on there to share anything now or even scroll a lot of the time. I found that Facebook became more for people to air their personal issues in public and it brought a lot of drama or you have people posting everything good happening in their life but nothing regarding anything bad and it can give a false picture of how everyone else's life is going. Heatman
I'm very sure that there are still a lot of younger folks who are still making use of Facebook but it doesn't change the fact that a big number of them have moved on to TikTok specifically. The force behind TikTok is unbelievable. You will hardly see anyone who's not using that app now.
