So something my mum has been doing for years and even more so now with the cost of living crisis as bad as it is, is she grows her own tomatoes, figs, apples, strawberries, and even cucumbers in her garden. She takes as much as she needs and then will give anything left over to me, my grandma, brother, auntie, or even her next-door neighbor.

I had thought about growing my own fruit and vegetables but the garden I have at the moment isn't the greatest for that so I haven't started.

Do you grow fruits and vegetables in your garden?

We have done sometimes: we've grown blackcurrants, tomatoes, chives, and mint, among other things.

Not sure if we will this year, though!
