[Discussion] Apple's Upcoming AI Health Coach Promises Personalized Wellness

Recommended Posts

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is developing a cutting-edge AI-powered health coach to help users enhance their exercise routines, sleep patterns, and eating habits. Codenamed "Quartz," the service will utilize AI and data from Apple Watches to create personalized coaching programs for individual users. Although not expected to be announced this year, Quartz is slated for release in 2024.

The Bloomberg report also highlights several other health initiatives from Apple, including a dedicated Health app for iPad as part of iPadOS 17, an emotion tracker, and features designed to assist users with nearsightedness. These innovations will build on Apple's expanding suite of health-focused tools integrated into its devices. For instance, the company introduced a medication tracking feature last year and operates its popular paid Fitness Plus service, which adds new workouts every week.

More health features are in the pipeline, such as support for Fitness Plus on Apple's rumored mixed-reality headset and a meditation app. Additionally, Apple is reportedly making progress in noninvasive blood glucose monitoring, although experts caution that implementing this technology may still be a long way off.
