Burning Man access is closed as heavy rains muddy the playa

TL;DR: Heavy rainfall at Burning Man has caused the desert floor to become impassible mud, trapping attendees at the festival. As many as 70,000 people have been asked to shelter in place as more rain is expected. Videos posted on social media show the muddy conditions, but attendees are remaining in good spirits. The festival has been closed and driving on the grounds is not expected to be possible.
