The company is investing in AI training chips and building data centers to train the chatbot without relying on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform. Meta's goal is to create AI tools that can emulate human expressions. They have also been working on generative AI features, including Instagram chatbots and AI "personas." However, Meta faces competition from Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon in the generative AI space.
