  1. I actually think it will be a good thing for them in the long run. The current adult generation has been slowly introduced to tech over time and some still avoid it. This has created numerous issues when it comes to raising kids and handling careers that have moved to the tech space. At the end of the day, tech is here and they will be better off being enveloped in it all their life. Ethically, I also believe their generation will grow up to handle tech, social media life, and big tech companies in a much more logical and effective fashion then then the current leadership. Granted, I do see some hiccups along the way, but every major generational change has had those. Although these hiccups are likely to be much more public due to the society they will affect and appear to much worse at face value, but likely much less by direct comparison.
  2. We got about 1/8 of inch during our last winter storm on Monday. So that wasn't bad.
  3. Meta Platforms Inc announced that it will be reinstating former President Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts in the coming weeks, following a two-year suspension after the January 6, 2021 Capitol Hill riot. This move has sparked both support and criticism. On one hand, supporters of free speech argue that it is appropriate for the public to have access to messaging from political candidates. On the other hand, critics of Meta Platforms have accused the company of having lax moderating policies and question if they have the capacity to understand the real world harm that Trump poses. While Trump's social media accounts were suspended, he has been relatively quiet on the political front. However, with the announcement of his run for presidency in 2024, the restoration of his accounts could provide a boost to his campaign. With 34 million followers on Facebook and 23 million on Instagram, these platforms are key vehicles for political outreach and fundraising. In response to the criticism, Meta Platforms has stated that they have "put new guardrails in place to deter repeat offenses." They have also stated that in the event that Trump posts further violating content, the content will be removed and he will be suspended for between one month and two years, depending on the severity of the violation. The decision to reinstate Trump's accounts has received mixed reactions, with some praising the move as a step towards free speech and others criticizing it as a lack of accountability. It remains to be seen how this decision will play out and what impact it will have on Trump's future political endeavors. Donald Trump has not yet utilized his regained Twitter account since it was restored, instead opting to continue using his own app, Truth Social. However, a spokesperson for his campaign recently stated to Fox News Digital that having access to Facebook once again will be a crucial tool for the 2024 campaign to connect with voters. 5. I would say that it is a mute point in my book. I get both sides and both sides have valid and reasonable arguments. I'd say the best solution is to pick one and stick with it, don't flip the dress code around as students go through their schooling years.
  6. I had good experiences with Xeon, granted they were limited experiences. I never really played with AMD's Epic stuff.
  7. Could be stock images used along the way. It is getting hard to tell anymore.
  8. As long as they are not extreme or overly zealous about the topic, political views don't bother me. I actually prefer to be around people of different groups as it keeps my mind open.
  9. You as well! I'm tried up on the new job's training academy, so time has been limited.
  10. This is very true. I oddly use tea to encourage my steps when seated all day. More tea equals more waking to bathroom lol.
  11. That is good to hear! IPS (our software) is going with Email only logins soon, so figured I'd just pull the trigger as early as possible to have less issues. Not sure if I agree with the move, but the concept is that your Username is public and therefore easier to input when trying to guess a password.
  12. I used to have one and it was a bit of a pain, plus I do not believe Verizon even sells them anymore and Verizon tends to hate most things lol. Granted, I have not looked very hard recently.
  13. I would agree that it turns out to be more like Legos, but just with slightly varying instructions that aren't always written the best. Although that depends on brands and you can overcome that issue with relative ease with online guides and such.
  14. Ya, price is going to be a major issue on this one.
  15. My next work laptop will likely be a 14" device. Although my main goal is to have LTE onboard and that is proving to be a challenge for options.
  16. I agree with both of you and I enjoy that nice and clean looking, but don't like a busy view. Obviously you can get a solid grasp of my preferred design by looking at the theme here. 😄
  17. I actually have a plan to replace my main work laptop every 3 years, but it normally goes to around 5 years as I hate spending money. I used to always go Asus, but my newest one is an HP, I like what HP is doing recently, but only time will tell if they can be reliable long-term.
  18. That is a lot of steps per day! I can generally get over 5000 on most days, but there are always a few days a week that I miss that goal entirely 😂
  19. Thanks. My recent guides have really been focused around enforcing that reusing the same password is a poor idea. Although there is so much to cover as a whole. 😅
  20. We actually have a few leagues and numerous events for it around me, which is surprising as stuff like that is often hard to find. I myself have never played it however.
  21. Welcome to Uncrowned Addiction! Glad you could join us! Sounds like you have a pretty good job setup going on!
  22. Welcome @Katy1966! Glad you could join us! As far as I know we have not had any users deleted, but if you encounter anymore issues please let me know!
  23. What is a Credential Stuffing Attack? A credential stuffing attack is a type of cyber attack that uses a list of stolen login credentials to gain unauthorized access to multiple online accounts. The attacker obtains a list of usernames and passwords, often from a data breach, and then uses automation tools to try these credentials on different websites and services. If the credentials match an account on a website, the attacker can gain access to that account and potentially steal sensitive information or perform malicious actions. Credential stuffing attacks are particularly effective because many people reuse the same login credentials across multiple websites and services. This means that if a set of credentials is compromised in one place, an attacker can use them to try and gain access to other accounts. To protect yourself from credential stuffing attacks, it is important to take steps to secure your online accounts and to be aware of the signs of a potential attack. Here are some tips to help you stay safe: Use unique login credentials for each online account. Avoid using the same username and password combination for multiple websites and services. Use a password manager to generate and store complex and unique passwords for each account. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your accounts. Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification, such as a code sent to your phone, in addition to your login credentials. Be careful when clicking on links. Be wary of links in emails or messages that ask you to enter your login credentials. Instead, navigate to the website directly by typing the URL into your browser. Use a reputable anti-virus software. Keep your computer and mobile devices protected by using anti-virus software and keep it up-to-date. Be aware of the signs of a potential attack. If you receive notifications of failed login attempts on your account, or if you notice suspicious activity, take it as a sign that your account may be under attack. Report any suspicious activity. If you suspect that your account has been compromised, contact the website or service immediately and change your login credentials. By following these tips, you can take steps to protect yourself from credential stuffing attacks and keep your personal and financial information safe. However, it's important to remember that it's not possible to be 100% safe, and it's always good to be aware and report any suspicious activity.
