  5. Oddly enough I have always left herbs out of the garden "they are a great plant and should have a special spot" is always my thought, but then it never happens. I do think I'll be starting one up on the coming weeks.
  6. I really enjoyed it at the beginning and then it just kept going. I probably would have stuck it out to the end, but the fillers where just getting to be too much for me and I moved on from the series. I always say I'll come back to it, but that is probably unlikely to happen.
  7. Sony owned Funimation has acquired Crunchyroll for nearly $1.2 billion and has essentially taken ownership of the anime streaming service. After weeks of rumors and speculation AT&T and WarnerMedia agreed to sell the service to Funimation. Sony is not new to the anime world with multiple partnerships and establishing companies such as Aniplex back in 2005. The bigger question looms on the future of these services as competition is started to build in services like Netflix, but these "newcomers" have a very long way to go in the market. Sony has already stated that some new series will have times exclusivity on their platforms but for me this not a huge bummer as most anime is exclusive to one of those two services anyway. There are many good perks to this acquisition as Sony has done the Aniplex service a lot of good and has used it to spread anime creation all over the globe. Sony also a great team of studios to enhance Crunchyroll Original anime with resources that the platform likely saw as unobtainable before. We could always bring up the fear that such a monopoly on anime could bring down the amount of shows and budgets as a whole, but Sony has not been a company to do this in a past and the gaming side of their company has certainly not hurt the industry and seems to be doing well overall for exclusives.

  9. Sadly it is true that Cyber Bullying is awful. I have not had to personally deal with it as my social media experience is minimal compared to most and I haven't found bullying to be a huge problem on sites like forums and such. Overall I find social media like Facebook and Twitter to be full of negative people and choose to avoid the group as a whole instead of trying to pick the good ones. Sure, you can say that I'm missing out, but from what I see on those platforms, I am much happier off of them completely and only maintaining enough presence to run my business pages.
  10. I love to DYI, but I'm certainly not the best at it. Although I have found throughout the years that an imperfect homemade project just feels better years later then a perfect contracted job. Many friends call that crazy speak, but it is just my life style.
  11. I find it as an amazingly calming hobby and it also produces yummy food as well! But I an curious if others garden. I have both an outside garden and a few indoor container plants. Trying to grow an indoor banana tree up north as been my goal the past few months, and it is not dead yet.
  12. I have had 3 Asus Laptops now and none of them have failed me. They are a bit pricey when compared to MSI, but the quality is worth it to me for sure!
  13. I will say that it seems to be a bit out of control. Although it is nice having a huge variety to select from.
  14. Amazon Echo and Ring devices will be enabling their “Sidewalk” feature on multiple devices and you should at least know what that means. The company sent out emails to owners of the devices, but many people report them being filtered spam or simply ignored and Sidewalk has some concerns given Amazon’s security concerns in some devices in the recent past. Sidewalk is a new feature that allows Amazon devices to send a small amount of data from their home Wi-Fi to other nearby Amazon devices in the event the internet was to fail at that residence. The data used is quite small and will likely never affect data caps on cable internet plans, but the main concern is security. One of the worst network security concepts a person can make is allowing unknown devices on their internal network and this feature allows Amazon to do just that. On top of that, Amazon has not released any details about the firewalls or security protocols this new feature will be using to protect the end users. Our faith in Amazon to appropriately handle security is small due to how poorly they handled recent open access to their Ring Doorbells, and yes, those same Ring Doorbells are now sharing your Wi-Fi. There are perks to this feature however, Ring devices are security devices that require internet to function. This means that the loss of internet or power will likely render those devices ineffective and crime does not stop when the lights go out. Sidewalk would allow Ring devices to pull the required data off a nearby user to keep itself recording video and the battery would keep the device running for at least some time. This approach will likely prevent or catch a crime in action when it would have been otherwise missed. Even the best home networks still have outages and keeping the security running may be worth it to may people. Echo devices on the other hand, are also included in this feature, but are likely not a critical safety feature in a home. The feature can be turned off in the app for the device, but it will be set to “on” after the update. Overall, the core concept of this feature is good, but the way Amazon is handling it and the lack of security information makes me suggest turning it off for now. Once the company has released more information, we may even recommend this feature to help your neighbors who are also using these devices.

  16. Hootsuite is a large, multi platform social media manager that has a heavy focus on user interaction. The platform covers Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Linkedn, and Pinterest and has numerous plans from single users to enterprises. Hootsuite is a very powerful platform, with a powerful price to go with it.

  18. PCPartPicker may be the best tool when it comes to building a PC. The website allows a user to select all the components of their new build and the program will list prices, power usage, and even possible compatibility issues when putting the build together. You can also find premade systems that others have built and even share your build to friends. The tool is full of uses and can even help you determine if your current build can support a bigger GPU and such. We do have to note that it is not prefect and many builds will have an item or two that does not have known dimensions and such, but it is a great way to organize your build. Of course, always use secondary research to ensure the parts will work together once you plan is ready to order. CHECK IT OUT HERE!
  19. Comcast has added extensions to their data caps in other states with the COVID-19 work for home push, but this gesture still small when looking at all the other cable companies simply offering unlimited data. Comcast does offer higher tier plans with unlimited data and faster speeds, but appear to be all over $100 a month. 21. Google Photos was launched back in 2015 and was set to give their users unlimited photo storage and used it as a major selling feature of Google’s Pixel phones. Now, Google is not just removing unlimited storage for these users, but they are reducing the limit all the way down the 15GB combined free storage that any Google account owner gets. This means your photo storage limit will be added into your Gmail and Google Drive amounts and if you go above 15GB, you will need to pay for a storage plan though Google. Users are unsurprising upset as Google as marketed the storage as forever and even used multiple statements to backup that claim like "And when we say a lifetime of memories, we really mean it" from the head of Google Photo in 2015. There are some good points to this move as Google has stated that currently uploaded photos will not go against the 15GB storage limit. Google has also stated that on average 80% of users can fit 3 years of photos and videos withing the 15GB storage. Not to mention that Google still beats Apple’s 5GB free tier of storage and Microsoft’s nonexistent free tier of storage.
