Do you have surround sound in your home? We bought surround sound speakers that we put up around our family room at our former house, but at this new house, they're just sitting on the floor in front of the tv in the basement. We found that we didn't really care for the experience of having sounds behind our heads. Especially when we were watching Jurassic Park!! It was fun feeling the animals from the booming bass though on the floor.

I personally would love having a surround sound experience, if I had the equipment to do so. While my hearing is good enough to pick up sounds and the direction they are supposed to come from while watching movies with the sound coming from the TV, it does add to the confusion for my siblings and extended family, that aren't adept enough to tell the difference in sound coming from one direction.

I don't care for surround sound. I tend to use Subtitles even for English speaking shows so even having the sound all around me, I still would want to read it. Plus, it can be a bit nerve-wracking when you hear something "behind you" lol

I had surround sound once way back and as much as I was excited about it, once I had it, it never felt the same. I guess with surround sound you expect the sound to be just like you would get it in the cinema and when it's not like that it can be a disappointment.
