  1. Well, I had a nice week with my sister (who came home for her birthday). We saw my grandma; then saw one of our friends; then went to a garden, and finally, had a birthday dinner at our favourite Indian restaurant.

She went home earlier today, which was a bit sad - but, I was glad to have her here!

There’s one in Nottingham, tho I think it’s the only one.

I think if Hooters wants to bring in more customers, they should better the quality of their food. It’s like a meh Applebees

There's one in Liverpool too, although they certainly aren't common here!

That's how I view things as well. If I don't like something, I just don't go, see, read it. I'm just amazed at how much times have changed. Back in the 50's, people dressed up to GO to the restaurant. Now, you see anything & everything!

I have to admit, I don't often dress up to go a restaurant (only if it's a particularly fancy place). But I do try to look presentable, at least!

It looks like so much love and pride went into making that locomotive.

    Also, 120.

Indeed, it would have done! The original 119 was used at the ceremony to mark the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad in 1869 - and, this replica shows the same level of love and attention 🙂

Anyway, back to the counting: 121 🙂

It's good Utah is stepping up for more security like this. How can they verify it however? I've went to sites & says "Click here if you are over 18". Anybody can click on it! So how could sites verify to make it safer? Is there a way? I've always wondered about that.

While I don't think the idea is bad, I do agree that it'd be very difficult to implement.

Every method of age verification that I can think of is either useless, or invasive of privacy 😞

I guess we will have to see how the future goes, but I still see coders and devs being a career.  I personally picture AI in the way Microsoft is pushing it and adding it as a tool or "co-pilot" as they call it to existing programs.   Essentially having the same long-term effects as stuff like the grammar tools in Word for writers and smart tools for graphics editors.  Teams might get smaller as now the AI can do the "small tasks", but no CEO is going to start AI prompting their website or app from their office and will still have coding teams involved.

Yeah, software development jobs aren't going away.

Although, I do think the skill set required is likely to change - as knowing what to ask the AI becomes increasingly important 😛

There's even another one which is when I'm chatting with someone. There are some then tend to type their chat long and it's going to look like a text. I don't find it easy reading them.

I like it when one sends chat bit by bit. It's going to make it easy for me to reply each point in the chat unlike when it's all packed up in one long chat.

Well, provided the 'bits' aren't one or two words at a time... I had a friend who was like that, and it got super annoying!
