  1. We don't have hooters in the UK that I know of or at least not in my area or in areas surrounding where I live but I do hear a lot about Hooters from those I know from the US.

It is my understanding that children do use Hooters as it is a restaurant and seeing these uniforms that they are wearing does scream to me inappropriate. I could understand if they were wearing say leggings or even shorts that were less revealing but this is very much too much I feel for somewhere like Hooters and would be more suited for an adults-only restaurant.

Is the weather better there now?

It's starting to get better now, we have had a few warm and humid days and it was windy today with some rain but not a lot. We are expecting it to get really hot over the next week, possibly towards the end of the week. It is nice it is starting to feel more like summer but it's also too warm and humid, we can't win.

Happy Saturday or Sunday now at least for me! 🙂 I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

  3. I have been using TikTok now since around 2019, throughout the lockdowns and the pandemic when I started using it more and now I find I use it a lot each day just to flick through or even add my own gaming videos that I have as well.

TikTok is definitely not something you should sleep on when it comes to using it as a marketing option if you have a business or even a website. It's great just to be able to chill out whilst using it as well.

  4. Good evening all! Hope everyone is having a great start to their week and has had a great Monday.

I woke with a migraine this morning so spent much of it in bed but the migraine has eased so that is a plus.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

  5. I was checking the news today and it seems Greece are in some serious trouble with the wildfires at the moment as well. It really is awful to see so much suffering because of the weather and the heat and the wildfires getting out of control. It was the same here last year in the UK, we had a lot of devastating wildfires one of which took out 17 homes which was awful to see.

I agree though, anything that may help these issues does not seem to be a top priority for people or at least not the majority which will not help the situation.

  6. This is awful to see and I feel for anyone suffering the effects of these fires and the smoke as well.

It is so sad to see that we are getting so many more fires like this due to hot weather and lack of rain as well, I would like to say it will get better but I don't see that being the case being how much we tend to get them all over the world now.

Well, provided the 'bits' aren't one or two words at a time... I had a friend who was like that, and it got super annoying!

I have had friends that have done this in the past and I will admit, it is very annoying. It seems like it's a habit they get into and can't seem to get out of.

  8. With the way things are going with Twitter and the fact that Elon Musk is adamant that he wants to see most of the features that everyone uses behind a paywall such as how many tweets you can view each day depending on whether you are a Twitter Blue user or a free user and also very soon putting the Tweet Deck feature behind a paywall as well, Threads has potential to be able to succeed over Twitter.

It's a shame that Twitter went the way it did but now, many have an option for an alternative and I feel they will jump at that.

  9. It's been a while since Musk bought Twitter and it seems that he is putting a lot of what was freely available to all behind a paywall which I do not agree with.

I still use Twitter but not as much as I used to since the changes were made. I don't feel that I should have to pay to be able to see so many tweets or even for my tweets to be seen.

  10. We don't tend to have these air in the UK, we have ones where funny things are caught on video and they person in the video gives permission for them to use it on their show but anything with hidden cameras we do not have that I know of.

I have seen the ones from the US TV shows though and I do feel sorry for some of them. Some go way too far and it can be cruel a lot of the time.

@ShortieEngland tends to be more wet than dry though right? Just like on the northwest coast of USA, Washington State is quite wet from talking with relatives over there.

This is very true. We have had a few lucky years where the rain has not been as bad but this year it does seem to be as wet as we would expect. We have had rain all day today so far which was very much needed.

I hope everyone is having a great Friday or Saturday depending on where you are 🙂

  12. I have had a few jobs in my life and of all of them, there was never a time that I was fired. I remember a waitress job I had, someone was stealing from the cash register and before they found out who it was, there were mentions of people getting fired. Luckily they found out who was stealing the money and they got fired and the rest of us didn't.

  13. No matter how old you get, you can never stop learning especially if you tend to use the internet or even read. There is always something out there that you can learn.

I am always saying when I learn something I had no clue about before how "You learn something new every day" and it's not just a saying, it is very much true.

  14. When I go to a site, I tend to look at whether the site is clean looking, easy on the eye and easy to navigate. If all those are there then it doesn't bother me so much whether the theme is basic or fancy.

Personally, I prefer to see a basic theme that looks professional at clean.

There's even another one which is when I'm chatting with someone. There are some then tend to type their chat long and it's going to look like a text. I don't find it easy reading them.

I like it when one sends chat bit by bit. It's going to make it easy for me to reply each point in the chat unlike when it's all packed up in one long chat.

I agree. I feel with too much you can lose your train of thought or even forget what you read, with it being in little bits, it tends to be better too as you say answer and also keep up with it so you do not miss anything.

  16. It really depends if I am honest as to whether the text in question is of interest to me or even if the text in question needed so many words before we got to a conclusion or a question.

I don't mind reading long text but sometimes, I do feel that some people add on too much which can lead to a loss of interest when reading.
