  1. I could imagine anger over an inheritance, but not that. Well, even with an inheritance, some parents don't give that out - because they say it spoils people.
  2. The holy get more holy according to Biblical scripture. However, though, the evil get more evil. Also, some of them, for a short time usually, get something where they can't get caught. It's like the situation with Bonnie and Clyde or the modern drug dealer George Jung from the movie Blow.
  3. A lot of it is not impressing me. It just doesn't have any flavor and it wasn't always like this. Anyway, it's not the fault of the workers. Perhaps it is the managers not telling them to put more seasoning or maybe the food, itself, before being cooked is simply not as good as it was. Well, one example is maybe using a different type of cooking oil,
  4. Michael J Fox got this terrible disease, and they say Robin Williams was developing it before he committed suicide. What do you feel has caused it? Myself, I would think cocaine use would cause it. I mean, how can you not play with your brain like that and not get repercussions?
  5. It seems old-fashioned, but I really think toxic zones exist out there. It's similar to SEO in web development where certain areas are spammy and hurt rankings. Anyway, the Bible will back me up and, in fact, my take on the current world is I see many things infested with witchcraft. How can anyone play with this stuff and not get burned?
  6. Many in the state are leaving, following the ones that have already left. In fact, the main reason seems to be skyrocketing rents out there. Do you all feel that's the reason? What can be done to keep people in California?
  7. In the south, there is this idea that northern people are pushy and rude. Well, one aspect of the rudeness is being very direct. Anyway, one northern person I know as a friend said he would rather be around people who aren't pulling punches, though. He feels like southern people like where I am from are very fake.
  8. What is a NEET? What kind of crappy personality do you mean?
  9. With all these viewers, definitely it was a boost to RFK Jr's presidential bid. I wonder how much help it did for it? I wonder what he paid for the ad?
  10. I prefer to use paid hosting to host websites. I would also prefer free hosting using a self-hosted solution to stuff like ProBoards, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy being a member of Forumotion etc.. Of course, you can also upgrade ProBoards and Forumotion too (I think.) to paid. What advantages would you get from that? For instance, Forumotion is is quite limited in the free version, so does an upgrade give you more freedom?
  11. It would be interesting to see how the interview would have went from a neutral or hostile interviewer. Yes, this interview is biased and it did provide a strong glimpse into "Putin's side of the story", but that's about the only value of it. Anyway, I think it's good to know all sides, but that doesn't make the interviewed person the victor.
  12. Yeah, being a Christian has nothing to do with, unless you've subscribed to that conspiracy theory that Ukraine is a hotbed of moral corruption (common view, similar to the accusations against the South Vietnamese regime back in the day). Anyway, though, in these sorts of arguments, the blame game is endless. All you got to do is claim moral superiority for whatever side you're on.
  13. Smaller nations claim they have sovereignty but do they really? Real independence is the right to say NO. However, when smaller nations say no and the issue is serious enough, they get military action. Now, I have been on some forums and one argument brought up was that in a pack of lions the biggest always run things, but is that real justification?
  14. Of course, small nations don't want to be pushed around by bigger ones. Of course, Ukraine wants NATO to help defend themselves. It's like Cuba formerly wanting the Soviet Union's help. In this case, how can we understand the POV of aggressors? They always have reasons, like when the Germany invaded the Soviet Union to save the world from Communism, supposedly.
  15. It's highly believable that Communist policies would have caused this. In fact, similar things happened in China.
  16. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor What's your view on it? What do you think really went on? Do you see parallels with it in today's relationship between Russia and Ukraine?
  17. This is all a culture war thing. It's a way of telling off a liberal culture. Of course, that's not the only reason.
  18. Just as much as with George W. being one. However, I suppose a point is that the love of his family value stuff might cause some to overlook the suppression of freedom and war
  19. Do you agree with it or do you feel it's better if people hold back their feelings to people? Myself, I agree with the first statement cause I think there is a beauty or nobility in not exposing yourself and also a lot of people might tear you apart for sharing your privacy. I mean, people are not always appreciated for it and it seems obnoxious also.
  20. https://nypost.com/2024/02/08/news/mutant-wolves-in-chernobyl-developed-cancer-resilient-abilities-study/ What do you figure this holds for science and medicine? Do you think this will lead to major breakthroughs? How might this knowledge be implemented?
  21. This atheist online once made this statement. Do you agree? It's worth pondering a thought, but it is depressing.
  22. Well, honestly, the world is all about playing the victim. For instance, you can say Ukraine was invaded by Russia, but you could also say the USA is using Ukraine to colonize Russia (I know it sounds crazy, but that's a common Putin-supporter opinion in Russia.).
  23. What teams do you like? What players do you like? Who have you rooted for in championships? Have you seen any games live or on TV? Note: MLS (Major League Soccer) is probably not viewed with extreme respect outside the USA because the US is not considered a soccer country.
  24. Honestly, aside from Canada, I don't think American style football has a following anywhere. In fact, it's nothing like baseball which spread from the USA to the Caribbean and Japan and basketball which spread to the Philippines and probably a few other nations (I'm speaking of places where basketball is a major sport.).
  25. Some view his as a warmonger, kind of like how they viewed George W. Bush back in the day. However, others think there is an overreaction to what Putin did and they think Putin is being persecuted because he comes across as a conservative Christian type (one reason). Anyway, my views are mixed. Well, this whole situation is like the Cuban Missle Crisis in that Russia sees an enemy too close to it's border. However, though, of course, small nations don't like being pushed around by larger ones. That's just the way things have always been.
