  1. Do you feel like nations are prepared? It seems like it should be a top priority. Anyway, from what I know it isn't. Well, how would you react in such a disaster?
  2. I found algebra and geometry especially difficult in high school because I couldn't concentrate. However, later I was able to tackle them, even testing out of college remedial Algebra II.
  3. My view in theology is a type of universalism believed in the early church. However, it's not been popular since that time. In fact, it comes across as being an unbeliever to fundamentalist Catholics or Protestants. Anyway, taking a note from Noah's Flood, something where fundementalists claim nearly all people justly were drowned, we see, however, that the majority cannot always dictate what is right and wrong.
  4. Contact between cultures hasn't been good. Maybe it was even only the belief in Christianity keeping the restraint on Columbus for not being "too savage", but still, it was quite savage. Well, in fact, enslavement and being wiped out (if the target people are no use to the conqueror) seems to be common and one example was when Alexander the Great invaded India.
  5. If anyone is some hard right-winger, never mind the pic on the video cause, myself, I am independent. Nonetheless, this woman, especially, and other left-wingers got a point when they criticize the idea that the rich moving in for tax breaks isn't helping a large number of people in the target area. Do you feel there could be an opposing argument to this video? Well, I suppose people might criticize poor locals for making bad choices in education, maybe.
  6. What do people do besides learning? If people stop learning, don't things get boring? I think most or all people are trying to obtain information all the time. However, a lot of people don't want to learn, but just get in pleasurable information.
  7. Cancel culture spearheaded changing The Redskins to The Commanders and The Indians to The Guardians as well as all the Confederate statute removals. However, though, what point was being made and what good came of it? Why shouldn't DC have an Indian team honoring the original USA inhabitants? Well, at the least, it could have been renamed Washington Warriors.
  8. I didn't show up for work. There was a huge personal thing blowing up at the time. Anyway, I should not have quit because it was incredibly bad for my future. In fact, I should have been a man and roughed it out and my job performance was good, aside from quitting. 🤢
  9. I would like to contribute to the drumming community via forums and social media and I'd also like to create digital art on programs like Blender and Poser. Anyway, there are other stuff I would like to do, basically the stuff I do as hobbies now.
  10. I love the forum. However, what's the idea behind the name? It is just the cool sound of it?
  11. I view politics as very bad for business. In fact, as you say, unless it's some political business, then why would people want to bring this stuff up?
  12. If people aren't paying, then they are the product. 😀 This funny saying I saw posted on some college professor's office door, and it certainly rings true, and if it is true, then it's no loss to them to stay free.
  13. I'm not making a comment on this one. However, ultimately, the people have to change. You can't force laws on people that don't want them. If God likes abortion or doesn't, then well, it's up to the people to match up to God's ways on a personal level.
  14. Social media really isn't good for anyone. In fact, it was helped in design by people who create slot machines. That says a lot! 😀 Why do we need kids exposed to this stuff? Well, I'm on social media, so I'm a hypocrite, but I see the danger.
  15. I definitely agree what people on this thread have posted. In fact, I see a lot of this as Christian chauvinism. They're angry about prayer or perhaps cause they've taken the word Christ out of Christmas, but have they really tried to reach out to people with the Christian message, the one Jesus actually spoke of? It reminds me of the whole thing with Chick-fil-a in the US. Now, I think the biz has a right to follow Christian fundamentalist beliefs, but this thing was exploded out of proportion as a vehicle to self-righteously judge homosexuals. In fact, a question I wondered was, if they disagree with gays, then why not try to tell them about Jesus, rather than bash them as a political group?

    Learning music

@Uncrowned Guard Learning everything isn't easy. Well, I've been trying to learn aspects of advanced linear algebra and it's incredibly difficult. In fact, you have to find very specific online videos on it.
  17. I can be friends with people of different views in many cases. However, some views are so obnoxious and/or revolting that I can't deal with it. In fact, some people with those views will bully those who oppose them, so how is it even possible to "live and let live" with those types?
  18. I agree with what @Grungie was saying. The bottom line is that whoever you work for makes the rules. Well, in fact, the problem is that what are known as tolerant thinkers control a lot of workplaces. For instance, if you work for Duck Dynasty, not those people, you won't get cut down for extreme pro-gun rules or having traditional views of women. Well, do people expect companies to cater to their personal views or be neutral?

    Learning music

I took piano lessons as a kid, but kids often lack self discipline, so for older people self-learning is better and I taught myself a lot on the guitar and drums, even tough, a lot I learned was not self-taught. Anyway, as an adult, I find there are so many online tools (videos etc.) often free, that using them is the way to go.

    Country music

I like classic country, especially Dwight Yoakum and Willie Nelson. Who else likes them? Also, I agree with @Heatman on Johnny Cash.
  21. Honestly, I hate to make generalizations, but it seems the faithless have a way easier life than people doing hard time (in prison) or who have lost children etc.. In other words, they don't need hope cause they're virgins to pain.
  22. A moment of silence for any faith seems to go with the US constitution. However, focusing on the Christian God does not. Anyway, some Christians want God in public school cause supposedly school is becoming a moral disaster. However, despite my Christian beliefs, I don't think school prayer would make much a difference. Instead, parents should raise children, not the school, but I do know many young people have no parents or have bad ones.
  23. When I was in university, I found linear algebra, organic chemistry and physics to be incredibly difficult. In fact, it would be best to study on your own and know more than 75 percent before taking the course!
  24. I honestly believe that being a Christian is a better way to live even there was no Christian god. The fact remains that the Bible is spiritual liberation, giving people true happiness and the best hope. Who wants to argue otherwise?
  25. Everything is about marketing and it takes big bucks to survive. For instance, at one time, I made a few hundred USD a month from Adsense, but now SEO is way too difficult and would require way more work and/or money (work from hired people) to come out on top. Well, that's the same with YouTube and everything really.
