They’re usually spoiled brats, except more annoying because instead of some 10 year old kid acting like that, it’s a grown adult. I’ve met a handful on forums, and they trash talk their parents all the time over first world problems like they’re still stuck in that rebellious teenager phase.

”My dad’s an asshole, he won’t buy me that new Call of Duty game”.

    Dude… you’re 30…

I could imagine anger over an inheritance, but not that.   Well, even with an inheritance, some parents don't give that out - because they say it spoils people.

  2. The holy get more holy according to Biblical scripture.   However, though, the evil get more evil.   Also, some of them, for a short time usually, get something where they can't get caught.  It's like the situation with Bonnie and Clyde or the modern drug dealer George Jung from the movie Blow.

  3. A lot of it is not impressing me.   It just doesn't have any flavor and it wasn't always like this.  Anyway, it's not the fault of the workers. Perhaps it is the managers not telling them to put more seasoning or maybe the food, itself, before being cooked is simply not as good as it was.  Well, one example is maybe using a different type of cooking oil,

  4. Michael J Fox got this terrible disease, and they say Robin Williams was developing it before he committed suicide.   What do you feel has caused it?   Myself, I would think cocaine use would cause it.  I mean, how can you not play with your brain like that and not get repercussions?

  5. It seems old-fashioned, but I really think toxic zones exist out there.  It's similar to SEO in web development where certain areas are spammy and hurt rankings.   Anyway, the Bible will back me up and, in fact, my take on the current world is I see many things infested with witchcraft.   How can anyone play with this stuff and not get burned?

  6. In the south, there is this idea that northern people are pushy and rude.    Well, one aspect of the rudeness is being very direct.   Anyway, one northern person I know as a friend said he would rather be around people who aren't pulling punches, though.  He feels like southern people like where I am from are very fake.

I don’t shit on people who still live with their parents, I do shit on them if they’re a NEET. Sadly they usually have a shitty personality to go along with it.

What is a NEET?   What kind of crappy personality do you mean?

  8. I prefer to use paid hosting to host websites.   I would also prefer free hosting using a self-hosted solution to stuff like ProBoards, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy being a member of Forumotion etc..   Of course, you can also upgrade ProBoards and Forumotion too (I think.) to paid.    What advantages would you get from that?   For instance, Forumotion is is quite limited in the free version, so does an upgrade give you more freedom?

  9. It would be interesting to see how the interview would have went from a neutral or hostile interviewer.  Yes, this interview is biased and it did provide a strong glimpse into "Putin's side of the story", but that's about the only value of it.   Anyway, I think it's good to know all sides, but that doesn't make the interviewed person the victor.

You didn’t answer anything I just said.

Yeah, being a Christian has nothing to do with, unless you've subscribed to that conspiracy theory that Ukraine is a hotbed of moral corruption (common view, similar to the accusations against the South Vietnamese regime back in the day).  Anyway, though, in these sorts of arguments, the blame game is endless.  All you got to do is claim moral superiority for whatever side you're on.

  11. Smaller nations claim they have sovereignty but do they really?    Real independence is the right to say NO.    However, when smaller nations say no and the issue is serious enough, they get military action.

Now, I have been on some forums and one argument brought up was that in a pack of lions the biggest always run things, but is that real justification?

Idk what George Bush has to do with any of this. I'm also not sure where you're pulling any of this stuff from. Also, it was mentioned earlier that most of the countries condeming Russia are also predominantly Christian, so saying he's being criticized for being Christian is just pulling a strawman.

    Russian spy confirmed.

Of course, small nations don't want to be pushed around by bigger ones.  Of course, Ukraine wants NATO to help defend themselves.  It's like Cuba formerly wanting the Soviet Union's help.

In this case, how can we understand the POV of aggressors?   They always have reasons, like when the Germany invaded the Soviet Union to save the world from Communism, supposedly.

The debate continues regarding the extent to which these actions were intentionally designed to suppress Ukrainian nationalism or were simply the result of economic mismanagement. The consensus among many historians (and I'd put myself into this group as to the why) is that the Holodomor was a man-made tragedy exacerbated by the Soviet government's policies, which targeted the Ukrainian peasantry and led to widespread starvation and death.

In terms of parallels with today's relationship between Russia and Ukraine, it's important to recognize the significant historical, political, and socio-economic developments that have occurred between the two nations. The memory of the Holodomor surely influences Ukrainian national identity and perceptions of Russian influence and intentions. Contemporary issues, such as the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014 and the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine, can be seen as part of a long history of difficult relations between Ukraine and Russia. These events reflect ongoing disputes over sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national identity, though they occur in a vastly different context than the events of the 1930s.

Understanding the Holodomor and its impact on Ukrainian history is crucial for comprehending the depth of historical grievances that inform current dynamics between Ukraine and Russia. While direct parallels may be limited, the historical memory of such tragedies continues to shape perceptions and relations in the present day.

It's highly believable that Communist policies would have caused this.   In fact, similar things happened in China.

People should pray. If their heart is in it & it's their choice. Being mandatory or your mind being elsewhere is just rote. Don't they realize the god they are praying to will know the difference between a pure heart & one doing just because it's the "in" thing?

This is all a culture war thing. It's a way of telling off a liberal culture. Of course, that's not the only reason.

Okay, but what does the Christian part have to do with anything?

Just as much as with George W. being one.  However, I suppose a point is that the love of his family value stuff might cause some to overlook the suppression of freedom and war

  16. Do you agree with it or do you feel it's better if people hold back their feelings to people?  Myself, I agree with the first statement cause I think there is a beauty or nobility in not exposing yourself and also a lot of people might tear you apart for sharing your privacy.   I mean, people are not always appreciated for it and it seems obnoxious also.

Anyone that thinks he’s being persecuted for being Christian is doing some serious gymnastics.

Well, honestly, the world is all about playing the victim.  For instance, you can say Ukraine was invaded by Russia, but you could also say the USA is using Ukraine to colonize Russia (I know it sounds crazy, but that's a common Putin-supporter opinion in Russia.).

  18. What teams do you like?  What players do you like?  Who have you rooted for in championships?  Have you seen any games live or on TV?

Note: MLS (Major League Soccer) is probably not viewed with extreme respect outside the USA because the US is not considered a soccer country.

  19. Some view his as a warmonger, kind of like how they viewed George W. Bush back in the day.  However, others think there is an overreaction to what Putin did and they think Putin is being persecuted because he comes across as a conservative Christian type (one reason).

Anyway, my views are mixed.   Well, this whole situation is like the Cuban Missle Crisis in that Russia sees an enemy too close to it's border.   However, though, of course, small nations don't like being pushed around by larger ones.  That's just the way things have always been.

I felt something like that when I graduated or promoted from junior class to senior class. In the junior class, we wore shorts but the seniors wore trousers. It felt so good when I started wearing trousers.

As far as I know, kids can wear decent length shorts to American public schools.  However, it does seem disrespectful, but I don't think many think about it too much.   Anyway, in certain climates or seasons  a lot of clothes can be very uncomfortable, unless there is air conditioning.
