This is pretty much how it works here in the UK: everything has to be family-friendly until 9pm, and then more adult stuff is allowed. Seems to work reasonably well: obviously it doesn't stop kids from accessing more adult stuff if they seek it out, but it does mean they're far less likely to be exposed to it accidentally (assuming they have responsible parents 😛 ).

I guess the small things just seem a whole lot more stressful. While we'd normally take those in our stride, and handle them one at a time, they just pile up and overload us when we're feeling burned out!

Having too many forums was a mistake I made previously. I still have quite a lot - but, before I trimmed it, my board's layout was a complete mess 😛 . Another mistake I made was trying to please everybody - which is just impossible!

As much as this technology worries me, and as much as I wouldn't be willing to touch it until it's proven itself... I can't help but be impressed by how much it's helped this patient 😄 ! I hope it continues to deliver positive results for him - and for others 🙂 .

Yeah, I don't think it could work either. I will admit, communist countries did make some nice music - but it's just about the only good thing they did IMO 😛 .

I've heard about it, and to be honest, it sounds like one of those things where everyone says "I would never get that!", and then everyone does get it a decade or two later 😛 . With that being said, it sounds like there's plenty that could go wrong here... I can't see myself being an early adopter!

I wouldn't say it's made my life "less meaningful": it's very useful for connecting me with people who I wouldn't otherwise have had any way of knowing. However, it's certainly no replacement for real life. Actually being in nature - and being able to see, smell and hear it for myself - is far superior to just reading about it online!

The old version of my current one on ZetaBoard (if that counts); The chess forum that predated that one (from 2004-09); A resource board that got nowhere. So, either two or three, depending on how you're counting!

I have to admit, I haven't really noticed it - because I don't eat enough of it! I do think it's tasted a bit worse the last couple of times I've had it, but that could just be me: my tastes might have matured, or I might be misremembering how good it was in the first place 😛 .
