I will add that forums that allow me to use my signature to toss in my site's link have an edge over ones that do not for fairly straightforward reasons.
I must admit I feel that same way! I used to be more stringent on my own forum for promoting as I had a lot of members who "Promote & run". Now, I allow it & even allow threads where members can give details on What's New with their forum.

Aww, thank you! I like it here! A nice, friendly atmosphere 🙂

It's always nice having a thread for Suggestions & Feedback. Sometimes a member may have an idea or see a glitch.
Ask Me threads are quite popular on many forums.
Thank you @The Hulkfor great ideas & thank you to @Uncrowned Guardfor implementing said ideas 🙂

We used to go visit my husband's family but his parents have since passed away. Then Christmas we would go to my parents. Now we do both holidays with my parents. We make a simple meal of roast with potatoes & gravy. None of us do pie anymore lol For us, the holidays are us 4 getting together just like any other visit we have with each other. 🙂

I don't celebrate Halloween in real life due to how I was brought up. But I do celebrate it on forums for a bit of fun 😄
As long as you enjoy it, that's what matters now 🙂

The kid enjoys them, and they are much more controlled and easier than going house to house, so I feel like they are overall a win. We have two from our fire departments and one from our police department all within walking distance.
Do they also offer Trunk-or-treat? It's gaining in popularity.
Anybody else heard of it & did it with their kids?

Do you feel like minors should be allowed to visit breastaurants? Why or why not? Is it corrupting and how much? Myself, I've never been to one of these places.
Anyway, based on what I saw, the place is totally adult and so minors shouldn't visit.
Kids would see worse at the beach but it's to be expected. However parents can choose which restaurants to frequent & not go to those which are adult-themed. Just like I don't care to see kids at bars.

Happy Saturday Morning! @Uncrowned Guard Do your kids like doing the Trunk or Treats? Are they far for you to go? I know when I was young, it was at the local Fire Department.
@The Hulk Happy Saturday to you 🙂 What do you like to do for Halloween?

That "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." I know I've been intrigued with a product & the sales pitch from somebody. Then you have to shake your head to clear it, take that step back, & do your research. I go to Better Business Bureau quite often but I'm going to keep for reference Trust Pilot as well.

While I don't have a memory that is for offline forums, I think this topic is a great idea!
Have you shared this when you are bumping your promotion topic? The What's New section. I think more publicity would help get people here. 🙂

Ever since the Mir space station had a fire on board, lighting a fire in an oxygen-rich enclosed area has always been deemed far too dangerous. The International Space Station and the Chinese Space Station where this occurred are both equipped with special devices designed to use open flames in a safe manner for research, so this incident has actually been deemed fairly reckless and almost considered a reckless stunt that many agencies who are pointing at the Chinese space agency for not being willing to learn for other agencies. Granted, everything ended well, and you can certainly make a debate that the flame was worth the risk to inspire millions of students in schools across the world and such.
Well, if it was reckless, only the Chinese Space Station would be affected. It wouldn't be like something else that would have a domino effect. Unless other vehicles were docked nearby or the explosion was like a nuclear blast radiating for miles.

Interesting stuff indeed. The building blocks of life aren't exactly common, so if they got here from elsewhere... that makes me wonder where else they might have reached!
Agreed! What creates us human may not create another creature. We may not be able to visit another planet & they not be able to visit ours due to the differences.

You made a point here! Life may have found a way to remain hidden from outsiders. If some civilizations are way more advanced in tech, they could have something similar to a "cloaking" device. That'd be interesting to find out lol

Good Morning! Another week has gone by. Halloween festivities will be next weekend. Some people will celebrate it then due to Halloween being a weekday.
It will be just another weekend for us. Still have a bit more chores to get done outside but I got most of my whirligigs in for the season. Left out a few that we'll take down tomorrow as today it's raining.

I only just now realized there was an introduction area. Oops! haha
Anyways, I am new here. Been looking to join a new forum that focuses mostly just on community and talking about current things. The last forum I was a member on for many years shut down. I have not been able to find a replacement yet. This one looks and feels promising though! I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to e-meeting new people 😄
Welcome to the forum! Sometimes people see something that catches their eye & just start posting. I think that's a good sign lol
Look forward to getting to know you more 🙂

I would have thought they had done a test long ago in case of fires that broke out among the electrical equipment. This was cool to watch & see the differences.

This was an interesting read! I can agree however on the 51% may not seem like a big deal but do it enough & the odds can be in another's favor. I didn't realize if you "vigorously" flipped it, they can land the way they started.

Good Morning! I so wish I could just hibernate in the colder months lol Anybody else wish that?
I could handle the cold better if it wasn't so dark & dreary outside.
Enjoy your weekend 🙂

@brinxy29@Uncrowned Guard I like Rumble & while I haven't had my own channel, I have watched several videos on there. I haven't noticed anything lacking but I also don't upload to it.

It's a good move but I never trust the real reason some of these Governors enacting laws & rules. I do hope it's for the right reason & us consumers DO get the "right to repair" our own products. I've heard stories of going to a tech friend but then being locked out when the friend tried to repair it. Then you had to take it to the certified store & pay a higher fee to fix something so simple.

This is interesting as I'm into astronomy. I wonder what all they would find in the samples they took back.
I also can't imagine the people who are literally waiting for the spacecraft to get there, collect, then get back after so many years!
I'll tag @Kyng as I know he's into astronomy as well 🙂

When I was young, we had big dinners with both turkey & ham. Although most preferred the ham lol But like you, as time goes on & kids grow up & move on, it's less & less.
