    Hey all

    Hulk here. πŸ˜„Β

    Β

Nice to have you here with us my friend πŸ™‚ Hope everything is going well with you!

  2. I'm hearing more about PassKeys lately. I think as with anything, people still need to be viligant. It's not one & done. I shudder at those people who have simple passwords or even reuse them across many sites.

What types do members here use? Is it hard to learn?

I mean, the entire 'breastaurant' concept does make me cringe. But I'm not bothered all that much by theirΒ existence... if you don't like them, just do what I do, and avoid going to them πŸ˜› .Β

That's how I view things as well. If I don't like something, I just don't go, see, read it. I'm just amazed at how much times have changed. Back in the 50's, people dressed up to GO to the restaurant. Now, you see anything & everything!

We don't have hooters in the UK that I know of or at least not in my area or in areas surrounding where I live but I do hear a lot about Hooters from those I know from the US.Β

It is my understanding that children do use Hooters as it is a restaurant and seeing these uniforms that they are wearing does scream to me inappropriate. I could understand if they were wearing say leggings or even shorts that were less revealing but this is very much too much I feel for somewhere like Hooters and would be more suited for an adults-only restaurant.Β

Since I live in America, I feel strongly for our freedom & rights. However, people need common sense & in this case, common decency. If they want a restaurant like this, then don't allow kids inside. They can still have their restaurant, just it's more appropriate for the age group.

It is basically a better version of my old EMS schedule that I had for the last 10+ years, so as crazy as it sounds, it is an improvement for my life lol.Β  Overall, we protect our nuclear plant from hostile persons.Β

Sounds like a very important job! Do you ever have some fears working in such an environment?

It's starting to get better now, we have had a few warm and humid days and it was windy today with some rain but not a lot. We are expecting it to get really hot over the next week, possibly towards the end of the week. It is nice it is starting to feel more like summer but it's also too warm and humid, we can't win.Β

Happy Saturday or Sunday now at least for me! πŸ™‚ I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!Β

    Β

We've been having high winds here as well. Today is finally winding down. But we got some good 4" of rain this week. Really perked up my flowers.

I can handle the heat but I too don't care for the humidity. I rather have the "dry heat". Not where you feel you have to take another shower just stepping out the door lol

  5. Jason Aldean's "Try that in a small town". While it's controversial & one side wants to taut it as evil, he is promoting community & helping one another. The images in the video are from REAL LIFE incidences. Not condoning violence but showing what's out there & to encourage humans to have each other's backs!

  6. I don't have a cell phone so don't do apps. I also don't care for TikTok. One, they are owned by China which can be a security risk. Whether they are spying or not, they are still owned by them & can easily be hacked. Two, I have seen so many odd videos on there that are downright dangerous. Not so much that people are posting dangerous ideas but that people are actually TRYING them out!

Now I work in Nuclear Security and the schedule is a bit crazy.Β  It is a 4-week rotation it is set with 12-hour sets on rotating days.Β  It would be quite hard to explain, but basically, 3 weeks are a mix of days on and off and the 4th is a 7 day off week.

Does the crazy schedule make it hard to have a life? Sleep even? I always liked having set hours. Have you been late because you forgot you had to work that day? That would be a worry for me!

So what is Nuclear Security? πŸ™‚

Happy Sunday all! I hope everyone has had a great weekend and is enjoying it doing something they enjoy!Β

Hoping this week will be better weather wise but time will tell πŸ™‚Β

Happy Saturday to you! We are doing enough but it's never enough of what we want lol for the summer. Never enough time. Nor money lol

Is the weather better there now?

While I don't think theΒ ideaΒ is bad, I do agree that it'd be very difficult to implement.

Every method of age verification that I can think of is either useless, or invasive of privacy 😞 .

    I agree!

Looked up the law to freshen my memory. It states "reasonable measures to obtain identity", and mentions that ID must be provided. And that after age verification has been verified, the law then states that they company should then grant access based on the ID provided, and then remove all information used to obtain verification of said age.

Thank you for looking more into it! Sounds interesting. I do hope they find a solution & if this goes over well, it can maybe be implemented in other states.

I work two weekends, then get two weekends off.Β  So mostly work on stuff around the house and get little tasks done.Β

Do you work 7 days a week or is it still a 5 day workweek? What is your job?

I know the State of Utah has something similar that was implemented this past year. They now require companies that have a userbase in the state, to verify age, so that certain content doesn't get shown to anyone under 18.

It's good Utah is stepping up for more security like this. How can they verify it however? I've went to sites & says "Click here if you are over 18". Anybody can click on it! So how could sites verify to make it safer? Is there a way? I've always wondered about that.

  11. Math was really hard. I'll quote my Mom on this one: Give me words any day! I can do writing, spelling, but not arithmetic. Basic math, yes, that is easy to do but I took Algebra & it was way beyond me. I feel schools should work with a student's strengths & not push subjects. While maths can be good for some jobs, I always did factory work so I only needed basic math. Any Algebra I learned, I never had a need to apply it in the real world.
